seems like your slippage is pretty good with that number.

I think I was 76 - 77 with the 648 HP I had origianlly. I have to find the sheet with the bigger HP. Thye must have a real 650+ and dialed in. I wonder if they raised the X a little?

78 with a 26' bravo 1.5 to 1 drive, first try, Not bad at all. What was the rpm? Very nice Norm. Doug

79 today with some chop and a different prop. Feels like its slipping...quite a bit..I think a half inch spacer is in its future

Congrates Norm and Performance Marine, those are great numbers right out of the box.
Norm, have a great summer with your new toy, get her dialed in, at those speeds Danny will be nipping at your heals. LOL!!!

What about a 5 blade instead of a spacer? Just curious.

Elite Marine 06-04-2009 10:14 AM

Too much load on the drive with a single with a 5 blade.

I think a labbed 28 would be the ticket.

I ran a 5 blade on mine, but was overpropped. I really liked it other than I couldn't pull the rpm on the top. Albert and B-Stubb have run 5 bladers too. Seems like when you have real high slip numbers, the extra blade won't hook up bad enough to really hammer the drive, but then again, I'm not a professional boat expert...

Here's some pics of my first day out in the 28. What can I say but MAGNIFICENT!!! The boat ran absolutely beautifully. Three different people came up to me at the dock and said, "what kind of boat is that? I love it." I felt like a proud new father. The boat handles great, easily gets on a plane and has kick a$$ acceleration. That's going to take some getting used to. What a ride! I just couldn't be happier about the whole deal. Thank to Jo for making it, Kirk for selling it to me and Jason Saris and Rick Gage at Performance Marine for building me and incredible power package.
More to come.
