mike I think my plan is to acquire every project boat that pops up and NEVER actually get on the water again! LOL

Ya this one's a good deal just working out the details. Mostly complete but will do new power. If I can still get in a couple OPA races this year that would be great.

Anyone want a 24 sunsation rocket???

Bill shot you a PM I'm sure your boat is more $ than I'm looking at but would much prefer a 28'.

That's my guess too! I went to look at the yellow one even after I bought mine. We agreed at 7k as a baseline because you never know until you get there. The guy had a story that just didn't work. I knew this boat from way back. It's got a lot of hardware...that's why I was interested. Orig. had CMIs on it and when I went to see it, the boat had modified wet jet boat headers on it. Had some good stuff, but some junk too. I offered $6500 and he would't budge. The impulse in me said I'll meet you in the middle ($6750) and he wanted 7k. Glad I walked away. I hope he's kicking himself!

I tried to set up a time to meet him. never worked out. but im going with turn key. not a project. Mi boating season is way to short to have a project boat.

I like the 3man 24 but just never worked out. oh well

You guys are too good

Your right it is a project boat and he has been a stickler on the $. Just figured it would be a decent project to put together. Hoped to pick up tomorrow but there is a lien on the title so likely Monday. It is an early 80s boat retitled to mid-90s.

Right. It had a lien also. Talk to Mark at MER Performance, he and others did all the work to this boat. It has to have serious weight to it, they put mega bulkheads in this boat. It looks really good. Mark said the owner had 75k tied up in this when he was done. Think hull is orig. a 1979. I was okay w/ the yellow, but the turquoise and purple have to go. Maybe a white deck, yellow hull? Good luck with it, I hope you get a good deal.
