No, but that's where my name came from. I saw it race in 1995 in Miami. Always thought it was a cool boat. Got video of it racing in Miami or Palm Beach...can't remember.

Too cool. any way to post the video? I plan to call MER again and get some history on this boat. They have a long history with this boat.

Pulling the motor this weekend to see what I got with the boat.

I can burn you a copy...for a deal on some nice rams I don't think that is MERs orig. engine in that boat. Supposedly a few parts of that engine came from Cat Can Do Skater. I dig the Supercat intake manifold though.

Your right, the engine is not one of MER's. But he did race this for a bunch of the years it was around. Engine is misc pieces from the Baker Engineering (Cat Can Do) guys, dynoed somewhere around 700hp. Supercat intake AND heads Have a porter that is killer with these heads. He did a set for another motor build and made 695hp with just 489" and 9:1 comp. Still pulling at the 6250 mark we stopped at.

Curious to see what crank piston and rods are in this thing. Hopefully not junk. Sat for 2 years so not about to chance firing this thing up and screwing up a bunch of otherwise nice parts.

Let me know on those rams, otherwise I plan to list 'em. Project fund dipped a bit low LOL

Should be a fun project.
This is great news.OPA Class 6 is growing.Current boats include : 24ft Carrera,24ft Baja,24ft Sunsation,25ft Warlock,25ft Checkmate,26ft Velocity,26ft Corsa and a 26ft Sutphen....with your 24ft Pantera, another 24ft Sunsation,a 24ft P&D,a 25ft Mach1,and maybe another 26ft Corsa..there should 10 or more boat at most of the races in 2011.I love my 24ft Pantera, and I am anxious to see your boat out on the race course.I drive my friends 30ft Superboat in Class 5.Please keep us up to date on this forum with how the project is coming along.

No limits send me an email to [email protected] and I will send a pic out to ya.

Waterboy - I agree class 6 could be a big class everyone just needs to come out! Orange Beach should be a good time with FREE racing. Class 5 looks like a riot, wish mine was a 28 not a 24!

Once it gets rolling I'll satart a buildup thread. It will be a quick build in hopes of making Orange Beach then a winter build to make things right.
