Mark the crank pully and mark the prop shaft. Rotate the engine until the prop shaft turn one full revolution. I would expect it to be 1.5 or 1.33 revolutions.

They weigh about 150-200 lbs each and take 2,5 gallons of gear oil. You also need a special tool to put the drive back on. I used a fork lift and don't laugh but my special tool was duct tape. It worked fine. You can buy shaft adaptors from some place in florida. That will let you use 25 spline props and there are alot more of them available.

I ran that boat several times when it had some 509 making 600hp or so would run in the low 80s the boat did have some porpoise but not that bad,the owner was playing with some lead shot that was placed in the bow to help with the balance of the boat,I would try adding some weight in the bow and installing less pitch props with the weight of the 3 drives you are probably going to have to drag some tab to control the porpoise to go faster you are going to have to run some more power the owner of the boat when it was at my marina was building some 900hp but he passed away before he had a chance to get them in the boat

Ex what is the special tool for? I have removed bravos before(once) are these any different?

MG, I am having to use tabs to stop the porpose, right around 3.5 on the gauge. Did you rig it with these drives for the first owner? Do you have any idea how much weight you guys were trying in the bow?

Not knowing how your boat is set up, what does 3.5 on your indicators equate to in terms of deployment? Is it above, equal too, or below nuetral?
