I called this a$$hole this evening and remarkably... his latest auction on e-bay fell through...:picard1:

I offered him $31,000 and then offered him $33,515 for the boat.... He did not accept my offers.

I then proceeded to let him know he's a con artist, his "no reserve' ghost bidding on e-bay has been B.S. and I hope he owns the boat for quite some time.

If any other OSO brotheren would like to inquire on the boat, his phone number is 321-269-2628.:drink:

he lists it for what he wants, doesn't sell it (for the 4th time) and then faces reality. If he want's $47,500. but continues to fake sales at $31K who's the dumb ass here?
Listing/selling it fraudulently at a lower price only shows not to trust the guy. He will not only get his ass banned from e-bay but in todays cyber world and down turned economy, will own what looks like a really nice boat for a long time.
List it for what the fk you want (he did, it didn't sell) and either own it (and prove a point) or adjust your price accordingly.

For anyone that tried to bid on this boat but got scammed by the seller, here's the link to report it to e-bay.

I agree. Big items rarely sell on ebay. But, if you want to use it to stir up interest then use a reserve auction.

Not even remotely argueing about values. If I or anyone esle could have owned it for the figures listed above - it would have been the deal if the year.

My ONLY point is his repeated 'no reserve' auctions. If he's a honest gentlemen - he should honer his word.

Regardless of his practices while trying to sell. Offering 25 % + or - less than fair market value usually doesn't work. Even in this economy. My 2¢

scarab63 07-15-2011 09:27 AM

But I do agree its sh!tty business
