Thanks for all the nice comments guys.

Bought a GIL offshore engine mount on eBay. Got a great deal on it. NOS and only 75 bucks! :coolcowboy:
Also bought some 3/8 angle and flat stock to fabricate the stringer brackets. I'm using grade 8 hardware with nylock nuts. Suffice to say, it's really stout!

Also started fooling with the dry sump pump and accessories. I'm having a custom made dry sump pan made and I have to make a cardboard template for the fabricator.
Some pics of the cradle:

Rob.......Thats a bullet proof bracket mount you pieced together!!.....Also, finding the great little deals (Gil eng mount) is just one example of the little $$$ items
that would add up real quick if you weren't capable as you are.........just think, if somebody was getting $75 hr. to do your boat??...your saving 10's of 1000's
of dollars and getting great joy in the process!......................Nice work Rob!............I'll miss out on the grand tour just because I'm trying to save a buck on the
rotisserie pickup...........maybe someday though!

One suggestion ! Cut the 90's off and make them some nice 45's with beveled edges . Be much safer on your knees and feet when working in the engine bay not to mention looking cleaner . Looking great though .

Been block sanding all surfaces for the final time.
Hope to be shooting primer in a week or so.

Also, working on fairing out the hatch.

Rob............... Thank God for our interests and our love of boat restorations (in my case) if not for the boat the local bar would be waxing my interest!

I agree 100% Pete!

My wife cannot understand how sanding this old resin bucket is fun and relaxing to me but, somehow, it is.

Had a friend do some artwork for the boat.

He has a special masking vinyl and he cut me a few "pantera" logos.

This is just a printout to check sizing. The boat will have black sides and the word "pantera" will be in white. (Reverse masked over a white elliptical spot)

Hope to be shooting primer in the next week or two and then, right to color.

My boat had a "Pantera Racing" logo near the same spot that sort of burned itself into the gel. Couldn't even sand it out so I'm going to try this stripe in red and silver. I do like your logo but I didn't like mine and I need something big to cover it.
