i think the link to the 150 ish court judgments should be re posted we know thats true ,a least people who may wish to buy a new boat from them can see if they can afford the boat and the lawyer

hp500efi 03-11-2012 03:47 PM

unbelievable that the truth be told and the thread poof's away

no limits 03-11-2012 04:33 PM

Pretty simple really. Kind of like government for the people. You know, we are for the people who give us polititians money (ie lobbyist, corps, etc.). No different here. Sponsors/advertisers give money to keep site up which is great. But when we the people cross the line...well you know who has the power.

OSO was sponsor for Pantera factory racing.

Berk 03-11-2012 05:53 PM

so should i inform my lawyer for this also? i sent a msg to offshoreonly.com asking why they do it. i really want to know the answer...

Berk 03-11-2012 05:55 PM

after court solves my problem, i need to find a forum. a place that honest people giving honest advices and a place for all those good guys to share their boating experience... this is ridiculous...

ZP'd 03-11-2012 05:58 PM

Nice, hide the true buisness practices from potenial buyers.

Totally chicken chit move OSO. Hope you all sleep well.......

Wulf 03-11-2012 06:46 PM

I'm a new member but I think OSO has lost credibility for deleting that thread, it was truthful and informative and think it is disgraceful that they continue to hide the truth from fellow boaters and loyal members of this forum!

The next guy that falls victim to Pantera could have avoided it if the thread was still active, I could have been one of the next guys and I thank everyone who was truthful and may have saved me my hard earned $$$!

Just a thought can't somebody post in the beware section of the forum about these Pantera guys?

While I agree that the thread(and the one before it) should not have been deleted, MWBP is not the place to start that type of thread and I'm sure it will not be welcomed there.

Berk 03-12-2012 02:52 AM

first time i hear that site. still i should check sometime.

That was under the former ownership. Pretty sure IB will NOT be on any race boats.

SHOCKER!!!!!

Not, unless all of the previous threads have been deleted too. ;) I thought that it was an accepted process in the industry to get someones deposit so the previous guys boat can be finished. Don't worry, your boat will get finished (I've never heard of one not getting finished by these guys).....but another sucker has to be found! :D

This may be unpopular, but I must ask. Why do you, as an non-paying member of the site, think that you can come here and not be sensored regarding posts which have possible legal consequences? This is someone elses house, and if they want to remove controversial postings, good for them. With all of the nonsense going on here lately, I'm surprised the moderators haven't just quit. It's like an insane asylum. Back under my rock...

88bullet 03-12-2012 10:36 AM

yeah that post might stirr the sh!t storm a little bit

Don't feed the trolls. There's been too much ugliness here lately. :)

I will be the most paying member of this site, if they stop deleting posts, you can be sure about that. after paying more then 100K, it is not a big deal to send a few hundred more. and who are you exactly?

Berk,

I'm just like you. A visitor to the site. I feel terible for you and this predicament. It's my opinion that this matter between you and the manufacturer is obviously ugly and very legally involved. As a site owner, IB most likely does not want to be in a position to provide a public forum which may be construed as libelous to the manufacturer later on. Right now, it's your word against theirs. After you win a judgement in court, which is public record, you would probably be allowed to post THAT all day long. Good luck, and my apologies for rubbing you the wrong way. That was not my intent. I hope you get your money back, or your product as promised.

You do realize he's by far not the first in his predictament. It's been on-going for years. Have you read previous court related materials provided in the link? Buyers beware, the illusion is over.

Good luck Berk, your doing the boating community right by bringing out the not so dirty little secrets suffered by more then just you.

+1,

Jo's response is always the same. "We will not sacrifice quality for any customer," and the sheeple actually believe him.
