say somthing stupid thread
since OCCjoe had this great idea, im going to start it :)
still working the deal as the two individuals are still legally married. both individuals names are on the title. they no longer share a bank account and according to 'her' they are both not being cordial with each other. i talked with her on the phone yesterday. i explained i need both of them present at time of water test to sign off title 'in person' so i know its legit and both parties understand. back in November '11, 'he' signed a PO with me apparently not telling her anything about it, but did let me know they were divorced...when i got the title and her name was on it..it raised a question.. don't worry, draggin it home part tre' coming soon. whether its a pantera or not, i got another one up my sleeve if this falls through..don;t think it will..just hope not to drive 7 hours and have something fall through !! i got a 6-pack of natty ice ready for the summer! |

She doesn't have to be present but she does have to sign off on the title. But, she may not be comfortable doing that depending on what decision was made on the boat in the divorce. He gets it, she gets it, 50/50 split, etc.

Have them both there and have the title signed. Tell them to put it in the cuddy and then u bring the money down in the form of 5$ bills. toss the money in the driveway and let them fight over it like dogs..

she is holding the title, that is why the deal couldnt go through last november..once that came out, i knew i needed her involved. she is nice and understanding, we've talked on the phone and through email..she just wanted to feel included which i completely agree. and i want both of them present so i can know that one of them didnt sign off the others name on the title without them knowing and taking the money and running. divorces can be ugly. i know what it can do to a family, add $$, and that just magnifies things. it can get ugly, so i am trying to be fair, protect myself, and all parties involved. we talked yesterday, the weather is starting to break into the 60s some days during the week in MI, but there was a tad bit of lake crust on the lake down here, so I figure within a few weeks getting the water test scheduled.

MGH maybe she saw your facebook pictures and she wants you to lay your pipe to her right there if front of her X before she signs the title ...

The divorce decree should have spelled out exactly who got the boat. If it says it is to be sold and the proceeds split, then take 2 checks.
