I got two coats of Awl grip epoxy primer on the sides and three on the bottom. The person who bottom painted it, went too heavy on the grit before painting. I sanded and sanded trying to get all the marks out of the bottom. Didnt cover as well as i would like. But im sure i can hide them with a few coats of paint. I mean, it is only the bottom. If you guys see me doing anything wrong just tell me. Im 24 and havent done this much prep work and painting before haha. Thanks for all the nice comments! More sanding tomorrow. Pics will follow!

was wondering if u guys reinforce the older boats where the top deck and hull bond together when doing these full restorations. Everything has a life span and the material breaks down, what do you guys think? sorry for going a little off topic

This boat appears to be very solid in that area. Plus its screwed all the way around.

Always inspiring to see anyone doing this much work on a restoration. Keep on posting.

I was going to do it all white. But got talked out of it. Decided to do Snow white top deck, Navy hull sides, And snow white bottom. Except the "Navy" is a shade lighter than what i wanted. Oh well.

Nice meeting you today and seeing the boat in person. The project is coming along nicely.
