Default Alpha SS in a 24?

Anyone ever run an Alpha SS in a 24? Thinking about swapping a stock Alpha to an Alpha SS... SBC boat... any one see any issues with this idea?

What about selling both & running a B1?
Drill a couple more holes, add a sea pump & have peace of mind.
Won't raise height or gain speed, but def worth it imo.

There's a B1 on Boston cl for 600$

I think it would run pretty good. I've run the ss on a 24 P&D with 375-400HP with no issues. Slow out of the hole and good throttle skill are a requirement. Mine ran upper 60's with that combo with 21 Mirage

Unless you raise your X a Bravo will slow you down and it is a lot heavier. If it was me with experiance in Alpha SS drives - If I had the chance to do it all over again I would have done something different. BUT back in the late 70's there wasn't the options that there are today.
