Default Engine Hatch lifting shocks

Im tired of lifting my hatch and using a broom handle to hold the hatch up. Any have a good recommendation on which ones would work for me. Ill need the mounting brakes also. Its a 28 thanks for the help.

check the swap shop sometimes there are hatch lifts in there. also ive seen a trim ram from a alpha outdrive and a trim pump used. it actually works extremely well and is fast!!

I got the idea from a picture I saw from the 6 pack. I would rather just go with the lift shock. I would rather go with the shocks as that would be one less thing to go wrong.

yeah those work pretty good. i will do some digging and see who makes the kits

mine is a super light hatch. those wont work on a traditional hatch. you have a light weight blower hatch on yours too right?

they have them as west marine and the hardware to make them work

Yes sir. Something like the ones off of a suburban that have a long stroke i would imagine would work.
I will check west marine also scarab.

then just get yourself some struts. just dont get ones with too high of pressure cus it will bow the hatch when its closed. looking on ebay it seems they rate them by weight.
