Why do you say this is a new boat when it's not new, and it's 2 years old?

Nmbr1GMfan 11-23-2012 10:55 PM

Im going to guess because it's never been used.

People have the right to be extremely suspicious & cautious of the Pantera factory. The powerboat is still in Pantera's possession, that is a critical point. Pretty damn obvious.

I've listed my name, where I live and my phone number....so if you are Sooo "suspicious" why not give me a call and ask me whatever it is that has you so consumed with the potential sale of my boat..??? Maybe I can set your mind at ease...

the best part is most of them have never been in a pantera, some havent seen them in person, some dont even have a boat, dont have the nuts to call jo for themselves and say "hey whats going on down there", and NONE OF THEM are a potentioal buyer

It IS a new boat and will be sent out with a new title.

Comanche3six- do you have nothing better to do than be a nay-sayer on every thread you comment on? Are you saying you think he's trying to commit fraud on a boat he hasn't even taken delivery on? It must be some big conspiracy theory right?? Give it a rest bro- I can't wait for your boat to come up for sale bc I'm going to troll the $hit out of your thread with posts inquiring about how its been sunk before to wet transom, etc... Etc... It won't be so funny then when I'm driving buyers away from your boat.

You could say that, and it of course would be untruthful. You know the problem, the powerboat is still at the factory. The same factory that you had such a pleasurable time with. See, that's the problem. Nobody else needs that kind of grief. Pretty simple.

The "power boat" can be where ever I choose it to be.... I am the owner... If the potential buyer wants to have it finished there or take it somewhere else that is thier choice... Please move on...

Sure, it's your choice. Some people make bad choices. Good luck with the sale. Might be easier to sell if it was in your posession.

Guess you could say "new leftover". HIN says it is two years old. Banks don't loan '13 $$$ on a two year old vehicle. Your a dealer guy, you should know that.

Good luck with the Sale Scott.

Is that true? That's a hell of a choice(with all the bad Pantera Press), and I would think most potential buyers would not care to make that mistake. Nice powerboat......definitely. Bad sales position ...most definitely!

Bad choices like buying a ZX instead of the more desirable ZR??:party-smiley-004:

The boat is in my possession, so no, comparably it's a fantastic choice. I'm not slamming Pantera boats - I like them. Just calling this as I see it. It's a sketchy deal, with the boat sitting at the factory. And btw, I like my ZX.

Pantera28TS 11-24-2012 09:45 AM

No... Great sales position..!!! The potential buyer will have a brand new Custom Pantera 28 SR offshore Wave Crusher without the wait... You see I have taken all of the speculation of a competion date out of the equation.... all the potential buyer has to do is decide where he wants the boat finished...in my opinion that should be right at the factory...if they don't feel comfortable having them purchase the components on thier behalf than they can purchase and drop ship... Or they can do what ever they want to do....Seems like a great position for all involved....

Pantera28TS 11-24-2012 09:48 AM

Donzi zx.... What is sketchy....please elaborate.. Or call me... Because I would really like to understand what you see as "sketchy"

I'd have thought that was obvious. It's not in your hands, Pantera is holding it. That's a major hurdle for any buyer to overcome.

Obviously not for the 2 potential buyers going to look at it next week...and the 3 phone calls already today... Oh and I still haven't the pleasure of a call from you, to discuss your concerns and your "sketchy" comment....

I thought my reply was clear. Do you owe any monies to Pantera for work completed, or has it already been paid in full?

boatnt 11-24-2012 10:14 AM

Dont want to be negative on the sale of your Pantera,,Good Luck with the sale but,,,if I think you will do better if you took the boat out of there,,

Thanks. I think that actually clears up a lot. If you still owed any money to Pantera then it could be a real mess to unravel.

I understand your position, and obviously you wouldn't want to dump another $15k to finish off a boat that you already paid in full for. For the potential buyers, the "no wait" probably offsets some of the factory warranty concerns. I think many people wouldn't want to risk the building getting padlocked with the boat still sitting there, which could then result in a legal battle of it with any of the outstanding creditors. I agree that for the full value, a buyer would want to boat to be as near 100% Pantera built as possible, but a smart choice might be for them to build the interior on a "per hour" basis, with the buyer footing the bills directly for the components, and then installing elsewhere.

This boat very well might be the last Pantera ever built. Time will tell.

Not sure what that's supposed to mean. I wish him well with the sale. I think his last answer probably just cleared up a lot for any potential buyers.

What it means is.... Not many companies are spotless and If you were to list your boat for sale and some internet critic came along and crapped all over your prospective buyers you may not think it so cool. In reality all the people comenting have no firsthand or even secondhand knowledge of Pantera. I don't have dog in the fight so I pipe down because I would rather take the high road and help to support American companies in their fight back in a screwed economy. I know first hand about losing business and being held up by some great customers. Just my crazy take on this.

Good point! Are they complete or do they still need about $10K of construction by a ripoff company to finish them?

It sucks for this seller on here.....but I doubt anyone on OSO (except you) is going to help him get another sucker (Pantera buyer) to give Pantera money to "finish" a boat that is already PAID IN FULL.

I really feel there is something wrong with your understanding of what needs to be done, or you just cannot grasp the facts, So let’s read/say this really slowly....The potential buyer (this means the person buying the boat...of which I’m 100% sure will not be you) Can either pull the boat out and have it finished anywhere he or she chooses (not you) or they can buy the components and have them drop shipped at Pantera and they will complete it and do a sea trial. PPI already wants the boat at their facility for the cockpit installation...I have talked to them several times... so again nice and slooooow The only things left of any real significance would be the external hydraulic steering, pop-up indicators, throttles, and engine hatch lift... most people on this site (and yes maybe even you sir) could install these components in their garage over the weekend...I hope this clears up any miss conceptions you are having...

AJ POWERPLAY 11-24-2012 12:06 PM

Thanks for slowing it down for myself and others. It makes it just as clear as before. Best of luck to you finding a buyer. The facts are:

Boat paid in full
Boat not finished
Boat is at Pantera "factory"
Boat has a lien holder (bank)
Boat has no trailer
Boat needs additional $10K work to finish it (a weekend job according to you)
Boat company denied bankruptcy due to prior business "events"

I think folks on OSO are not wanting to see another Pantera buyer get reamed. Best of luck to you!

I know the feeling trust me f$#ckers ain't never got
nothing better to do. My opion is you want to sell the
boat faster invest $4k on a trailer and get the boat
to another location, if u need help finding the trailer call me and
i'll hook u up with a friend that makes them. Goodluck
with the sale.

AJ POWERPLAY 11-24-2012 02:54 PM

I agree underload... I think a nice manning trailer would do that boat some good justice!
