How wide are your tabs ?

I'm using 280 K planes which are 14" wide..

If I mount them at the strakes they will interfere with the drive turning...
My Dana HP900 tabs are according to Dana's website 12" wide x 17" long. I have plenty of space between tabs and drive.

Not the best pic... I'll try and measure later.

technically they are both splashes of the boat the Cuban's designed and raced in the early 70's . So you can't say Pantera is a splash of excalibur . I know somebody that was with Pepe in 79 when he cut a 2x4 and dropped it in the bottom of the hull mold creating the delta pad . But sitting in my shop I have a mold that was made from a excalibur and it has the same delta pad so I would think that's proof that Excalibur spashed Pantera .

Ok... sorry... I should've said "Yes they ARE similar" I CERTAINLY don't want to start a who copied who argument. I wasn't there so I was just going off information from others...

I've never seen the bottom of a Pantera in person..
Is the pad you're speaking of the same as on my Excalibur which was built in 1979 ?

Well, I have hull #2 and it's a '77' and it has a delta pad so your dude's memory must be rusty. When did bill farmer lay up the first excaliber 24-7?

Not sure, but ours is a '77, so it's a contemporary of your Pantera.

He is Pepe's age so I'm sure that played a part in the dates . I've heard the story from Pepe and from Coen on how the first 24's dirived and both their stories coinsided with one another . The 24 SB's don't have any pad .

This debate again
Didn't one of the old timers in the classic section say a magnum or something was the first one to the 24x7 party?
Vintage chrome.....you know the thread I'm talking about, you started it! Not to say what's on this website is gospel....most of us know that's faaarrr from the truth ay this point. But dude makin the statement seemed pretty confident in what he was saying. I think it was tx2 or brownie???? I'll find it when I've got time.pbm
