Look at Lenco. A single will work fine.

ok thanks thats good to know. i have just found out the bennets hydraulic system we are installing for the trim tabs has an output to run a ram so i think we might go that way
we just have no idea of the ram length needed |
Very cool. Never knew Bennett had that option. Here is some info I found on their site regarding cylinder size vs. stroke.
12" stroke cylinder is 17 3/8" closed 18" stroke is 23 3/8" closed 24" stroke is 29 3/8" closed hope this helps |
thanks for that. i am still awaiting prices as i am not convinced there is a great benefit as i have now seen the way it tees in and its not easy with either the pipework or the wiring and electric is way easier
|
Also with the Lenco, being a ball screw it actually holds the hatch down as well. If you go electric make sure you wire it so that in case the battery goes dead you have access to put power to the lift.

ah good call thanks. where the switching is going to be i can put a trailing socket now i know

wonder if anyone can help me, i have looked about but cant see any pictures.
when i got the boat the bilge fan piping was all in bits in the bottom of the bilge so i havent a clue where the pipe went from or to but there was a fair bit. the fan was screwed to the forward bulkhead toward the starboard side. i understand it is to draw fumes from the bilge but cant work out where to get rid of them. where did either end of the fan pipe go to and what was the pipework connected to. i have about 4-6 foot of pipe russell |
mine goes out the starboard side vent - hose dangles (strapped) into the bottom of the bilge and exits out the side vents

What the pics don't show is the hose starts at the lowest point in the bilge and then at the top of the blower fan is routed up under the engine compartment lip and exits out the portside venting. |
ok thanks, this is priceless, so if i have this right then ? it doesnt matter which side it vents out as long as the fan intake pipe is then at the BOTTOM of the bilge ?
this would explain why i had so much pipe hanging around for sure i dont have any holes to the outside from the bilge compartment so i assume i have to get the outlet side pipe up to the tubular section of the boat that goes foreward up to the side vents and try to fix it up there ? |
