so gentlemen, we are approaching the time when we want to run her up and test her.
anyone got any tips as to how to go about that in a garage on the trailor and keep her cool etc

paul buckner 04-06-2015 02:47 AM

If it's on a trailer why not just drag it outside and put it on the hose ?

Red Roar 04-06-2015 03:05 AM

is a hose enough then ? i was going to drop the leg into a plastic dustbin and keep filling it with a hose. that way i would know if i had enough water for it.

paul buckner 04-06-2015 06:12 AM

Even better if you have a large bucket .ps allways run the motor with the leg in the down position , never run it with the drive past the full trim position ie trailer position .

Red Roar 04-06-2015 06:15 AM

ah ok thanks Paul i was on the right lines then. we have some big plastic dustbins that will work well enough

Craney 04-06-2015 05:48 PM

Just keep the hose in the barrel to keep it full of water.

Red Roar 04-07-2015 03:37 AM

yes i was thinking if i did that at least i could see if i was using more water that the rate i was filling at.
the large bins i have i can put over the leg then drop the leg into the down position
