My 1999 ran 75-76 mph with the Innovation 500EFI. Had the heads rebuilt and ported by Veleko and it then ran 77-78 with an all time best of 79.6. I am guessing the freshening and porting added 30 hp or so.

Is that the one on the you tube videos? If so what a sweet running boat!

With a 540EFI - pushing around 625HP I hope to get that little 99 up to 85 mph once i find a prop that works.

Yes that's the boat. Several videos on youtube of the boat running in Fl, CT and NY.

406ci SBC with TRS and 19P Mirage 68-70 in near glass like conditions. Only made it to Lake Michigan once last year in 2-4 footers and was hanging on versus looking at gps on my phone haha. I've heard from previous owner mid to high 70's in chop.

Man, what kind of RPM's are you turning with only a 19p prop to get those speeds!

It's been a long winter but yes I would say it is spinning 6200-6500. There's nothing oem left on this 406. Just had a rebuild last winter and the guy did an awesome job. It runs perfect! I forgot to mention in original post its around 500hp maybe a bit more. Never had it dynoed but with the parts/ specs its a good estimate. It was originally a small block boat rigged at TNT Marine with a 400 small block from United Racing Engines I believe. Original motor is no longer in the boat. It met its demise years ago.
