Welcome back...so I assume this is your compensation?
Someone should take the 28 and make a sit-down outboard version. The freeboard is low enough in Panteras that it would be a perfect boat for that :drool1: |
What about the 41
|
+90 is turkey !
who owns the molds ? |
i am from turkey. i own the molds... they are in miami, not turkey of course. 41' is sold to someone else while i was chasing the assets... detailed list of equipment will be given if requested.
|
How much you asking how can I see them I'm interested.
|
Wow, well that's interesting.
|
pls send an e-mail to [email protected], i will forward you to my lawyer and he can show you the assets.
|
Email sent
|
Bert do you know where your boat ended up at?
|
my boat was only a grey hull... ended up sold to another poor guy just like me....
|
This is sad 😢
|
Good to hear Berk stayed with his legal actions. Close to thirty years of court filings and it finally caught up to Pantera. They may have built some nice boats but in the process they left a huge trail of unpaid bills and screwed clients.
|
I doubt it was 30 years and you should never be happy when someone goes out of business. Everyone involved gets screwed that way, It's sad for all parties involved. I don't think they ever intended to screw people over, but they got over their heads trying to save a family business. Pretty sure berk would have been happier getting a boat and not going through all that.
|
It's a sad ending for sure. Berk did everything in his power to get that boat. In the end, it all had to end, and Berk did get his justice. It's also sad the way the family got broken apart, and a dedicated builder died. But the dedicated people that lost so much money keeping someone else's dream alive cannot be forgotten. I believe Berk is one of the only people to get something back from them. Now it's over presumably.

my screen name is my real name and it's the same name I use on every forum. I made a name on here 5 years ago when I was looking at Baja outlaws and had a Baja islander. 64coupe aka Steve had gotten me into pantera's over the past 3 or 4 years as my Baja turned out to be a piece of ****. I've always been more involved with my seadoo's, bikes, and cars, but now getting older I kinda like the boats. Not new to boating, been doing it my whole life. I've fallen on hard times too in the past and feel a little for Pepe. I've spoken to him and he's not a bad person, just fell on hard times. The guy is still helping his customers after all of this and I think something has to be said for that. Am I still suspicious?
Take some time and go into the court filings https://www2.miami-dadeclerk.com/off...ardSearch.aspx regarding Pantera boats, Pantera poerboat ( they used a number of names) and you'll find significant judgments against them going back almost as long as they have been in business. Do a search here and you'll find stories that are representative of a bad business and apparently someone (Berk) finally took the time and money to take them to court and now they have no molds. Maybe they'll do better selling logo wear or does Berk own the logo also ? |
That's any manufacturer of cars or boats, I see it all the time. Look up any manufacturer and you'll find tons against them all the way back to the beginning. Doesn't mean anything.

Doesn't mean anything? It actually means they dont take the time to resolve small issues that bloom into big problems. An occasional crazy customer is one thing. Years of judgments is another thing completely. Florida, the sunny state for shady people.... Cant be said enough. South Florida is its own microcosm of lawlessness. |

I've been screwed out of plenty of money, **** happens. I'm just saying they're not bad people and they weren't out looking to screw people. What happened, happened. It's a sad story and sad for all parties involved.
|
Basically robbed Peter to pay Paul and their entertainment in life. Would that be a fair statement ? Or am I totally off base here ? Asking in a non joking manner
This industry does not need to have added red flags to it. I know I have been in this industry for 30 years and once again even yesterday personally seen the damning effects it has on another boat owner. Some hacks and dishonest people seem to hang around in the boat industry. But please do not take this all are bad. Again I am not saying all but an X amount of percentage of not rights and or totally shafted things happen in this industry. Not really wanting to explain full details but we all know someone personally and or many that did not get the fair end of the stick in some form or another in the boat world . |

Pantera would have loved building a boat for you. And the person in line before you would possibly get theirs done with your money. Then all you would need to do is find another buyer so their money could be used to finish your boat. |
And that is basically the way it happens. Pepe hadda keep trying. To say to any prospective buyer: "Sorry, I can't afford to build you a boat." Is to admit defeat and have his doors closed that much sooner. Kinda like an onside kick or a hail mary. Ain't gonna work most of the time, but sometimes it does. Of course, when you lose a football game, the only money you steal is from the bettors.
|
If someone buys the molds it may not be sad, provided they have the cash to build them and there are people that want to buy one.
Seems at Pantera that was not likely to happen anymore. |

Seems at Pantera that was not likely to happen anymore. try to start a new company, which could be cool if they have pantera build quality. |

the pantera molds are not for sale, Pantera's assets are going to be auctioned. So someone could buy everything and

And the 24 Pantera is proof of that. There is a 23.5 Magnum rotting away in England somewhere. That mold was reportedly made from sheets of kitchen formica. Apparently the only 24/7 Magnum ever made. Then somebody pulled a mold off that boat. And then it started. Can anybody on this forum fill in all the copies of the orig 23.5 by 6.5 Magnum we call the 24/7? Hell, I had a 30 IMP which is a stretched 24/7. Some were well made, well rigged boats. Supe is still building this boat apparently. Many were poorly made and badly rigged. One that was being built 10 miles from me that was shortened to 22 feet was a nice hull. But at some point-rumor has it-it was being rigged with used engines and drives and sold as new...

Boy, this sure sounds like he is trying to sell the molds, especially since the 41 mold is already sold. Unfortunately, all you need is a mold and a bucket full of fiberglass resin, and you can call yourself a boat manufacturer. Nowhere near the regulations that there are for Motor Vehicles. Heck, there's no regulations at all.
41 was probably sold by pantera I'm guessing. Once pantera folded the courts probably took everything they had left and they'll auction it. |
