Looks good MMatt. Is that a Owens and Sons trailer?
|
Yes, Built in 1999. Switched over everything to disk brakes. Good trailer.

My O&S is a 99. I'm having Pine hill trailers in Lancaster convert it to disc and extend the back 2 feet. My boat is a notch and the bunks never extended all the way to the transom. Its been ok for this long, but while I'm redoing the boat I might as well do this also. Where in Pa are you? I'm South of Philly.

O nice. Send a picture of how that turns out. The i beam did have some pitting, but nothing major. I scrubbed the areas and covered with anti corrosion spray. I’m out of Middletown PA area but boat down in the bodkin creek area.

Doesn’t look like much yet but started to fit the back speedos into the gunnels. It’s going to be kind of 3d with some sunken in and then petruding out a bit. I am doing a contrasting color around it. Also my 12” for the passenger side and the 2 7” and 2 9” Garmins for the dash came in so we will start forming the aluminum to send out for powder coat that will be the dash panel. It’s starting to move along

Good call on the Oak. Cypress is a good option too.
That pitting in the aluminum is likely due to salt-treated wood used for the original bunks. Even Myco just uses regular pine when making bunks for this reason. |
How's the dash panel coming along Dru?
|
The aluminum face plate for both sides are cut and off to powder coat. The bolsters are all mocked up and ready for upholstery. Marine Mat is making the floor after we sent them the design and now we are working on the side panels and rear bench. Probably middle to end of June. Decided to put the speedos in the back of the bolsters instead and f the side panels. Also got the front part of the rear bench about done. Here is a couple update pics. Thanks for asking. How is everything on your end. I am ready to boat buddy. I’m usually in all year or at least April 1. This is killing me
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...012e46044.jpeg So this is the front face of the rear bench. The eyes have lighting behind them https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...722352cd2.jpeg This is the side of the bolster. Tried something different. It will look much better once foamed and upholstered but I think it will look slick and different https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...75657ba4b.jpeg This is the bolster. The carbon fiber will be much smaller and recessed in the center of the back support. It’s real carbon and looks much more orange in the sun. The top is shaped like a u but will be less pronounced once covered and it goes with the design around the speedo in the back https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...27a10ea3c.jpeg This is the floor design with the honeycombs on each side and the racing stripes down the middle. The honey combs are just etched so not real bold. I didn’t want to overdo it. |
Thats going to look really nice. It will definitely be a custom look. What did you decide to do with the cabin door?
