Default Windaway

Check out www.windaway.com. If anyone buys these let me know how they worked out. GaryM aka Captain

I had them and they would not mount on the fairing because of it having different slopes on the front and back. I could have drilled holes and made them permanent but I couldn't bear to drill the holes

I saw the the same problem with the WindAways. It would be nice to have something where no permanent modifications to the boat are needed. Maybe just a different mount for the Windaway? We'll be looking at that this weekend.

I wonder if they will clamp on to the older style windsheilds with the tube for the top of the windsheild frame?

Default Windscreens

If you look closely you can see mine runs the full width.
It is thru bolt with real nice stainless fasteners.

24-650 if each side of the tube is flat and at the same angle I believe that they would work, if it is rounded then you would have to extend the clamps down farther to the flat part of the windscreen.

Mine is flat on both sides, but they are at different angles and that is why they wouldn't work on my boat.

Looking at cougamans gives me an idea though.

I have some photo's to post but I must say before you see them is that I used plexiglass from the scrap pile in the shop and they are not 100% scratch free but they do work well. I had left them high also so they could be cut down later, they are very easy to install/deinstall. The improvements that I will make will be to have a lip at the top edge and maybe a 5 deg steeper angle than the exsisting windscreen by bending the plexi in two places. Hope this helps, Chris.
