Heads UP...Not a Pantera!
In case any of you are looking for a Pantera and run across this ad in Boat trader. This is NOT a Pantera.
I have seen upclose pics of this boat about a year ago and it's not a Pantera..If I'm not mistaken it is a boat mfg. that use to be found here in Miami back in the late 70's, early 80's called Cobra. Definetly not a Pantera...burns me when people misrepresent and waste everyone's time.

Angel,
I just drove up to Dunellon (west of Ocala) yesterday to look at this boat!
It's a p.o.s.
The guy just sold his Magnum raceboat "Deranged" and says he took this one in as part trade as he allowed the buyer $15K in trade in value!
Everything in the engine bay is totally rusted out, but it sounds good.
The hull is pretty trashed as is the interior!
I definitely had my suspicions!
The only thing worth salvaging in this boat may just be the fuel in the tank!
Needless to say, I drove up there for nothing, however, I was going to look at another Pantera up in Largo.
So I spent the night in a hotel and looked at the other Pantera this morning.
I was just going to post asking for some advice on this one.
It's very clean, looks just like your old 24, but with red sides, the motor is a 454/370hp, sounds very tight, good oil pressure. We did not take the boat out for a water test, we ran it on the hose
Here is what I am concerned about:
Both hull sides appear to have about 2-3 feet of linear weblike cracks in the gelcoat, they appear to be just surface cracks. Other than that, there is a half dollar size bubble on the transom, between the port tab and the port exhaust. When I pushed on it it did not give at all.
Overall the boat is very decent, and the seller seems like a good guy.

Georges,
The red Pantera your talking about belonged to "Bearpaw" from the forum. I spoke to him a couple of months ago regarding that same boat and he told me the owner which is a neighbor of his, took very good care of it and that it was solid.
The small spider cracks on the sides are really not a biggie. My old 24' had some and that damn thing was solid as a TANK! The "bubble" you refer to sounds just like an incorrectly done patch, as long as it's solid and doesn't give I wouldn't worry too much. Call me if you want tonight, I'll be up till about midnight.
