Re: 28 Sit Down ??

Put a 1.36 drive on all I had ,and spun a 30 bravo 4 blade 5700 and it ran right at 90 so I will have to be happy with that for Jacksonville. I basicly ran it up to 90 and quit so to keep it together .There might be a little left but not much . The 1.50 will run deeper into the 90s than the 1.36.Its a experement. The 5 blade is alittle faster to.

Thanks for the good picts (drive snatcher)Mark . They look very good .I gota get Rons boat a little more out of the water. Its still rideing wet. I was suprized how well mine sat up in the water I would love to see the diffrence between the 4/ 5 blade. On pictures it would show the whole story.

B Are you coming to the races on the 11th and 12th in Ft Myers? The boat looks good and be careful 90 is fast and things can happen quickly.

Mine is the same way. It rides too wet, especially in flat water. Let me know when you find a solution. I'm about 4-5mph faster in a consistent 2' chop compared to mostly flat water.

B-Stubb, I would love it if my boat could get up out of the water as much as yours looks like it does in the pics. I think the added thrust of your extra 300hp is probably one of the biggest factors.

Imco cavitaion plate is our next experament its suposed to promot bow lift and maby we will not have to run a spacer at all witch will mean more mph .

Yes it should be the same size but since the Panteras are custom boats and yours is a pleasure version and mine a F1 version there is a good chance there are differences.

One thing that do differ is the dimension from the rear bulkhead to drivers panel since I have the racepanel.

I would really appreciate if you could post that dimension and the depth of your rear seats.

Thanks but the pedestals will be a later issue, I will have to have the interior first to do a mockup.

Tomas,
I thought that fender was a nitrous bottle before I enlarged the pic :D

Tom, speaking of cockpits... How was yours laid out when you got the boat from Jerry? Did it have a separate throttle quadrant on the left side?

Yes , it did. I had it cut off and redid both bolsters.
I kinda wish I left it (:D) I have some pics I could post later. Maybe we should start a race cockpit layout thread and post pics.

Yah, I'd love to see photos... A freind of mine, yah that's it... a friend of mine is thinking about installing dual throttles.

B Stubb - great thread. i have been waiting to see more examples of the sit-down in 28s. Looks bad-azz. One more thing to add to the winter project list.

What would a set of those front pedestals set me back? They look great. I'll likely go PPI too.

Great work.

Anyone know where I can get my hands on a set of those stainless pedestals that B-stubb has his steering rams mounted to? (I didn't see them on CP, Imco or Latham's sites).

They are made by Marine Machine. I've seen them for sale used a couple times and I have them on my AT. They are some heavy duty pieces and pricey.
