Default Hurricane Francis

It seems this one is heading right for us in So Fla .
I am just worried about my boat, it sits on the trailer in front of my place, which, unfortunately in this case, is less than a mile from the ocean!?

You are funny dude!
I have been in several earthquakes (5.0 or better) when I lived in CA.
I have been in 3 small (90 mph or less) hurricanes since living in FL.
Last week I went to St Pete on I-75, past the Punta Gorda area, and saw the unbelieavable devastation Charly did.
I am not looking forward to this one..................but then of course, my Pantera IS a big water boat............soooo..................

George,

I dont know what to tell ya, this will be my first one. I filled the fuel tank tonight, and tucked it as close to the house as possible(hopefully break the wind). I plan on putting the plug in, and putting some water in the bilge, just before the storm hits, then putting the covers on, and double tarping on top of that. I havent decided yet if I want to hitch it to the truck or not?? If I had room, I would say bring it out west here, but mine barely fits alongside the house. Maybe someone here that lives west and has extra space, can help George get my boat(just joking) out of franceses path, or at least away from the water a little???

Thanks Rick, I too have full tanks but I am more worried about stuff flying around the street and hitting my boat!
I am hoping I can stash it in the concrete parking garage at my office on SE 17th, but that depends on the Renaissance Hotel Mgmt!!!
Otherwise I may have to tow it over to Sarasota to Will's place.

The best thing to do is hitch it and get the hell out, leave your house protected as much as you can and hit the road against her path. I was in the middle of the eye in Andrew and I for one will never be in that situation again. I`m lucky to be alive after that SOB hit us in 1992.

Looking back to March I made the right decision to leave the Scorpion in cool dark Indiana till November. Looks like we will get another taste of this one.
