I have got a 2003 24 sport with a 618 horse 502 on the pump. The motor has been detuned to about 585 to be put in the boat for reliability. I can run a solid 81 on GPS and have seen top speed of 84 in tampa bay last winter and that was really hangin it out. I agree with some of the other comments that at about 75 and over the boat is a real drivers boat and can get out of control if you don't take the time to get comfortable with the way the boat reacts at those speeds. I will try to post some pics..

Anthony, yours is one of the nicest 24s around.
How do you like running the boat in a seated position?

Stormrider thanks for the compliment, I really like running the boat in the seated position. It gives you a safe feeling because of the way the way the seats hold you in the boat , also with this size boat and the low freebooard stand ups make you feel like you are hanging out of the boat where with the sit downs you feel like you are down inside the boat and give you a more comforting feel.

I hope to get a few more seasons in the boat to get a feel for what I want next.
I still think the new 29 extreme is nice... reminds of your boat Tmone.

I'm down for a get together.
I'm down by the city.
Maybe you guys could run towards Huntington???
Or meet somewhere else inbetween Ron 'n I?

I'm also hoping to trailer out to the Hamptons and keep it there for a week.
