Yes , we had some great racing back then -2003 was the best year - I still remember our first race down the beach to seaside . Nothing like watching you guys air it out 20 feet off your starboard rail - that was some fun racing !
We will probably do all the local races .
If was unaware everyone was moving up to P4 .**** , guess we'll have to crank up the hp a bit .
Hows your engine doing ? Did you get it dialed in?

Jerry ...
this is Bruce on Typhoon's computer.
the average lap speed for P-4 will be 75 mph. and P-5 will be 65 mph. Supposedly, everyone is bumping up in class. in an effort to make room in P-5 for smaller entry level boats.
I have not made a decision as to what power i will be running. Talk to smitty when you get a chance. If all the 28 Panteras bump up, I will. But, I would like to see us all running in the same class. It would add to the excitement and competition. I dont think Carrabas will bump up and I dont think Sonic Boom will be either. So, dont jump to bump up the power just yet.
see ya

I haven't run the boat since the Pt. Race last August, the only thing I did was fix the bolsters that split down the center, we will be at the Local Races also.
At the last OPA meeting Team Carrabas was discussed and they too were at that time, to be moved to P4 along with Sonic Boom I believe, to make room in P5,the P4 boats were going to move to P3 and P3 to P2, but that all may have changed. See you soon

I think that Carrabas and Boom will have a problem with that. Carrabas top speed is 71- 72, at best. and Boom is about 72-75. There is no way that I would want to bump up to a 75 avg speed class without increasing power. I dont think either team plans on increasing power.

I guess it will all come down to the speed calculation and we will all race in whatever class that puts us in.
Brucie did you get my message I left you last week, and did that guy call you?
