I was just a couple ticks off of my best top speed.
Heat and Humidity...I thought that was normal in VA. I was definitely out of my element.

Thanks to everyone that made this happen! A special thank you to the person that had the idea to give away club logo shorts. That was great planning
. I am glad to see that this run is still about having a good time, and enjoying our hobby.

This was one of the best runs I've made even though I broke a rocker stud 75 miles into it.
The people were very nice and the event was very well planned out. The party Sat night was blast also.

Yours truely. I gotta find something to top it for next year!
By the way, we got our shirts and the shorts from Speedware. They were fantastic to work with - I highly recommend them.

I socialize with Steve and the rest of the RPBA board in both boating and non-boating events. Steve works his azz off for this run, but a number of other individuals do too. I have been amazed at the number of hours these people put in, the hours they miss from work, and preparation that goes into this many months in advance. If you were at the event did you notice the group that had to sit at the table while everyone drew cards for 1/2 the night. How much do you think they enjoy this event when they can't join the party. Some of them didn't even get a chance to eat dinner. Do you think the hotel just knew how to set up for us....Lee Martin made several trips down there to meet with them and make sure everything was perfect. Same with Tidewater, making room and assigning 100 slips requires a little effort in a marina that is already full.
Steve is only as good as the people willing to help him. I'm glad I can call all of them my friends!
Thanks again guys, I had a blast!!!

I'd like to "ditto" Russ. Steve and all who helped organize the event did a fantastic job. The "behind the scenes" work can never be adequately described. T folks who pitched in to attend to all the details didn't miss a beat and it showed! Being from NoVA I don't get much opportunity to get down to the RPBA area to hang out with a class act of people, but wish I could. I'm jealous! Thanks again for everything!! Now to get on with looking at all the pictures....
