Chicago Poker Run

I will be there again for sure, great event rough or not.
I took the time to go up through the city throught the lock system and it was a great experience.
Good food, good people, good time. Event organizers did an incredible job and the setting with the Hotel and the Docks and boat ramp all in the same place was perfect.
I am not a gambler but there is a casino there too and the hotel was really nice.

I will take a pass on Desert Storm. Too far and too dangerous. I have been told the boats are bottle necked and too many deckboats to steer around.
In the Chicago run we ran about 75 to the city and 100-110 on the way back. Coming back we were far back from the lead bunch at Navy Pier as we were sightseeing. There is nothing like the Chicago skyline from the water. We passed a lot of boats coming back and caught the OL boat at the breakwall. We were a few miles out and not by the other boats at all. We were just cruising when we noticed how many boats we were passing that were hugging the shoreline.
