I just made the commitment over this past weekend. SmugglersInc will bring an extra set of eyes in the sky. I am bringing the airplane out from Havasu with a spotter to call out any incidents or obsticles in the way. Amazing what you can see from 5000 FT. As much as I would love to run in the event I can offer a little something more from the air. Kim on the otherhand will be on the water Im sure!

Matt, can you help me getting my boat into the docks in Long Beach? If I remember correctly, you are a pro at that.

Would love to run it but the boat isn't big enough.
270 step Hallett.
Don't want to blow the drive getting air.

Don't sell yourself short - I ran the long course in the poker run in a 29' shockwave a couple of times - I had to run slower than the top guys, but still had fun.

There are lots of single engine boats under 30' who make the run. A couple of guys did the run in a 21' open bow Hallett a few years ago. You can run the short course if you want to stay close to the shore.

This is a great party weekend, and you will have your boat docked in the water in front of the Yardhouse - Perfect setup!!

Don't let the size of the boat stop you.. There are usually two courses. One is shorter just for smaller boats or anyone not looking to run that far. Check into it, I'm sure they're doing that this year. Besides, if some hot chick came up to you and wanted some no matter what, would you turn her down just because your "winkie" is a little short?
