I am sure all of the hotels and businesses that were to benefit from this event will have something to say to the NYPC...

Nothing like having a hotel's phone ringing off the hook with cancellations on a holiday weekend...

So sorry to hear this Norm.

In today's economy, it is hard enough to make a buck. And then you have people like this....

1st thing came to mind is perhaps the Mahopac Hudson Run can now be moved up to this weekend ??? More people would be able to attend...

Hopefully it will all work out...

The LGPC will be getting an earful from them im sure. There was $10,000 of rooms booked at Fort William Henry. In this economy loosing that kinda cash hurts.

They need to hear from a bunch of people. First, all of the business owners who would have benefitted from this event, secondly all of us and our other members of OSO. Maybe someone should post the home and work numbers of the officers of the LGPC. The mayor needs to take a stand for the business owners.

I am on my I phone and need to run, but I will finish my rant later.

Hello Sacandaga. Not that far from LG and a hell of a lot more friendlier. Still plenty of water. Ask any of the ones that ran here before. No BS and the the charity still wins.

MY 2¢

This is why many of us that have/had performance boats got off Lake George. I LOVE the lake. its beautiful. I spent 15 years running on it. BUT the LGPC and all the other agency's are just out of control, backed by the nouve rich that have moved to the lake is the last few years.

Like Jake said, Sacandaga is the new choice for performance boats. It might not be as pretty or have the history of LG, BUT they leave performance boats pretty much alone!

That money loss to Fort William Henry is serious money in October when they would pretty much be empty.
