Glad I booked ours at the Marriott on Thursday instead of waiting for the official word. No discount rate but got a upper floor harbor view for $159.00

You can still gat a room within walking distance - about 4 blocks.
The Marriott Courtyard.
Someone just booked a room there via Priceline for $69.00
I would also try Hotels.com
But there are rooms reasonably close by,

They do have rooms, and you can walk, stumble or super quick taxi - it is 0.18 miles from the event.
As a comparison - the 2 Hotels that we have deals with - the Sheraton is 0.4 miles from the event and the Marriott is 0.17 miles from the event.
So the Courtyard is really close by!!! Want a room? Try them.

No I don't. 
We have gotten more entry's, and may only have room for 2 or 3 more boats!! 
We have all been working thru the weekend to make sure everything is a go and 100% - It is.
BTW:
One thing that EVERYONE needs to know - At the lunch stop, NO food, NO drinks, NO alcohol can be brought into the pool area!!
Only you and a towel! That rule will be strictly enforced by the marina staff. That is their rule and they want us to abide by it.
Everything is falling into place nicely. I'll load a picture of the truckload of booze if I can. The bar list is - WOW!

We had one night (the 22nd) booked @ the Sherton, but I cancelled it this AM. Got both nights from the Marriot just in time! So if anyone can use a room, they should have the one I cancelled available. Guess one night is better than none at all!!!

Guys , lets get signed up for this run. This venue and the planned activities are one of the best i've seen. This run has great potential and could grow into a great annual CHARITY event. Lets do our part and send this run over the top in its first year.
About the rooms, Bill R. has a wheel barrow that he will personally use to transport you if you cannot make it back to your room. If your just tired he will push you back in the same vehicle. Just tip him so he can get some gas for the boat he says he has.
Hope to see some new friends and some old ones there, lets make it a great week end.
