Hudson River Fall Fun Run 2012

Also please be advised......
Docking at the restaurant will require us to raft off one another. I ask that while entering the "no wake" zone of Round Out Creek please set your bumpers and ropes on your PORT side. And that larger boats raft off dock first and then get smaller as we go out. KEEP THE STERNS EVEN so people can use the swim platforms to cross over if possible. Please make sure to unload as quick as possible from your boat and captains please help the next boat tieing up to yours before you disembark.
Also please tell everyone on your boat to please 'DO NOT WEAR SHOES WHILE CROSSING OVER SOMEONE ELESES BOAT". We have some really spectacular boats coming to this event and most cost more then my house. So please just be courteous to others and respect their property like it was your own.
P.S. anyone can step on my boat...I just checked NADA value and it only asked how much gas was in the tank and what octane how old it was

We will be making two stops on the way up the the restaurant and two stops on the way back down. We are making these stops to allow slower boats to catch up and to also regroup for the helicopter and photographer.
The first stop on the way up will be under the second bridge bridge we come to, THE BEAR MOUNTAIN BRIDGE.
The second stop will be under the MID HUDSON BRIDGE and this will be the third bridge we come to.
Please note that last year, as funny as this may sound, we had boats out running the helicopter so they missed some great photos of their boat. The helicopter can only run about 90-100 MPH top speed. He runs normally around 60-70 mph. So he will jump ahead of our group and shoot us as we go under him. But if you feel the need to run 100 plus the whole way you probably wont get any photos. Thats why we need to stay grouped together for the best photo opportunity.

Hey Johnny ,
Yes I've been friends with Donnie a long time. If fact the heads on my motors are his.
The marina in stony point is 65 miles from my house took me about an hour by car no trailer . It's just over the tapanzee bridge then north for 10-15 min. I'm going to look for another ramp this week but if I don't find one very close by then ill use the one at marina. I spoke with a worker at marina who said ramp is no problem even at low tide for 40' boats.
Problem I see it that there is only one ramp. So if 40 boats are trying to use it at once could be slow going.
Hey Wayne I have a 35 sonic with 725's

You might want to consider launching in Nyack, right after you cross the TZ bridge..about 6 miles south of Stony Point by water. Nyack to Stony Point will take a good half hour btw on Sunday morn...Church is in full swing. Not too many one launch there anymore, the ramps are new, plenty of parking, pay by a meter, low tide not a issue to the channel unlike Stony Point and is safe. I launch there every few weeks. Its located at the Riverclub in Nyack, NY

Though South, the ride past Hook Mountain/Sing Sing/around TZ Bridge is awesome. Pm if ya need more info...mike

Guys don't worry about this, for the most part we all know one another. One guy backs the truck in while the boat owner is in the boat, launch and then tie up truck goes right out and parked next one in. You will never see a large group of boats launched so quick.

Hey everyone, I just noticed this event. Let me check the road maps from Maryland to New York and see what it looks like getting there. I'm not wanting to winterize the boat just yet. May be interested in staying on the boat if the weather is decent and the shower areas are nice? Is there anyone coming from the Maryland area? Maybe I could follow them in.
