I thought I would let everyone know there will be a grudge race day on the San Jac river Saturday January 18th. It will be outboards vs jets and start around noon. You don't need a boat to watch and probably better to go by car and watch this year. It will be at the new marina that is now open on the other side of Rio Villas. We have had up to 100 boats racing on the good weather years. Here is the info for the marina. 2730 Highland Shores Dr. Highlands, TX 77562 and the website is cycoast.com Also, you can find out more info on byuboyz.com there is about 15 pages of smack talking over there.

Contrary to what big block says, it aint a grudge race, racing is illegal on the San Jac river..wink, wink...we like to cal it "side by side testing" as using the R work has attracted unwanted police presence n the past....also, there isn't any room for spectator boats unless you want to anchor up past the finish bouy...it's a little narrow where the test site is set up....he has a medium size beach, but the test boats will be on it...other than that, come on down, it's going to be a party!... dmac

I am sure you have run the river a lot. But remember the stumps on the right side by the 1st RR crossing past 10 where it looks deep. There are a few drives in the San Jac because of those.
