I had lunch at Shooters yesterday to go over the menu. Everything looks great and they are really looking forward to cranking it up 80s style! They are even having a band that afternoon (probably a vain attempt to lure us away from those lovely gals outside Christies, but more power to them!). Early registration closes tomorrow and they need a headcount so sign up early and save $45!!

Okay, all you last minute weather watchers: winds are projected from the South (flat lake) and temps are projected to be in the 80s. If you are planning to show up last minute, do a brother a righteous and let me know (I check PMs) so we can make sure we have room.

See you Friday!!

UPDATE Car portion has been changed to a drive-in. Drive-in is at Shooters On The Water, 1148 Main Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113, between 1 and 3. Segregated/guarded parking. $20 donation to The MobilityWorks Foundation per car is requested (please pay to David Black at event). Lunch with poker runners is available upstairs - $35 per person includes all you care to eat nachos, brats, burgers, chicken sandwiches, sides, soda, and deserts as provided upstairs. Or order off the menu downstairs. If you want, motor next door and park by the water between 4 and 6 to see the boats and the girls up close...!!!

What happened? Real Lake Erie water happened, separating the men from the boys!!! And that Hustler may have been the bees knees, but it didn't make the run and you didn't see it outside the breakwall!!! To quote one OL owner, "Made it to Mentor in 28 minutes. Big waves, big power!!!" I think everyone had a great time, the card draw was Vegas, baby, Vegas!, and money was raised for a really great cause. We are already working the schedule for next year and have received a couple of sponsor calls that want to get involved. Now get that beautiful silver and white boat finished so you can join us!!!

We enjoyed the run David! First class accommodations at LYC, great food, and a sampling of some of the areas nicest offshore boats. Great pay outs and more importantly a great charity.

Yes, I wouldn't mind running with you next year. I did see that the lake was kicked up as we drove over to Whiskey Island. Was it that bad? Sounds like you guys had fun, still dreaming of the day.....
