Where else can you see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, lunch at the famous Shooters On The Water, drool at pretty girls outside Christies Cabaret, and catch two famous Put-In-Bay performers, all for a great cause?
This year, Lakeside Yacht Club is pulling out all the stops to benefit The MobilityWorks Foundation (www.themobilityworksfoundation.org) and give us all a chance to experience some of the best Cleveland has to offer.
The run takes place on Saturday, August 23rd and includes stops at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Shooters On The Water (remember the Flats???). The run ends at Christies Cabaret where the lovely ladies will cover up and come out on the deck to party with us. Other planned card stops include the Mentor Yacht Club and the Lorain Lighthouse Basin (floating stop).
Scheduled entertainment includes Put-In-Bay’s world famous Mike “Mad Dog” Adams (35 years on the Round House stage) on Friday and Mustang Sally on Sunday. Plan to get your groove on Saturday as Cleveland's own Umojah Nation beats out that reggae beat. Bring your swim suit for time in the pool or just enjoy time with friends on the deck and docks. If you haven’t visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, transient dockage is available all day Friday in the adjacent harbor ($1 per foot for four hours).
Thanks to a generous donation, the pot for hands starts at $5,000 and additional items will be available to bid on (Cleveland Browns tickets, anyone?). One-half of all cash prizes and a portion of registration fees will go to The MobilityWorks Foundation to offset the cost of providing a wheelchair accessible van to a deserving veteran or veterans’ organization.
For more details and to register, please visit http://lakesideyachtclub.com/wp-cont...r_Run_2014.pdf. PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO 60 BOATS AND SLIPS WILL BE ASSIGNED IN THE ORDER OF REGISTRATION - PLEASE REGISTER EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT

The application mentions something about trailer parking but there is no contact # or email to ask.At the 2 launches mentioned can trucks and trailers be left there for the weekend? Looking at Google satellite it looks like the Edgewater launch has the most parking but the other is closer. Edgewater is recommended for over 30' but is the other Ok?

We are going too.
Not sure what other lot is listed? Is it E. 68th? If so park at Edgewater. Might be another 10 mins drive but its a safer lot. I have left my truck and trailer at Edgewater many over nights and no issues. Not to many choices in the Cleveland area. Its a short ride to lakeside and its behind the breakwall from Edgewater if the lake is rough.
