We could organize our own start on Saturday morning, say 11:00am central time?
Have a pre-planned route. First stop Burnside, then Lee's Ford, etc...
We could even wait at each marina till everyone has their card, then shot gun again to the next stop.

Was talking to a buddy here at work about this very thing. I just want to know the direction for the first card, nothing like watching the run to that first card. It's a sad day for THE Lake Cumberland Poker Run and it's fans!!!

[QUOTE=Marginmn;4166167]Very well put. This kind of format takes the Adrenaline out of the mix. They changed the Old Hickory Music city run from a shotgun start to this format and it really took the excitement out of the event for me. Still fun but just not the same. Oh well. They had the opportunity to self-police the 170 MPH + first card stop racers after the first death but the organizers didn't want to risk them not showing up. Too late now.[/QUO
Just happy to have the run.

Well I think it's likely that everyone will do the run on Sat and if so do we want to continue the lunch run Friday?

I ran in this event for the first time last year and was very disappointed to receive my entry form this year when I read of the changes in the format. I would be interested in some form of unofficial start time if one is organized. I dont have a 100 mph boat but its fast enough for me (at the moment) and its still big fun out there with the big dogs!
