Maybe we should add pictures and names of boats in case we meet up.

Correct. East across Choctawatchee bay. You will pass on the north side of Crab Island (not an island but a big boater hangout that’s shallow). Across the bay east, then into what is essentially a long wide ditch they dug between Choctawatchee bay and West Bay. Then south through the bay to St Andrews bay. Shell Island is the hangout there.

We have been as far as the bridge across the Choctawatchee Bay, We were just using paper maps and was scared about shallow spots.

You do need to stay to the middle of West Bay. It can be 2.5’ 100 yds off the shoreline. Just stay to the channel to St Andrews Bay, and stay wide of points and you’ll be fine. You can dock up at Bayou Joes or at the Shrimp Boat restaurant. We prefer to walk across the street from the Shrimp Boat and go to Hunts Seafood Restaurant. Oysters are great at Hunts, and the Drunk and Ugly is the dessert to die for at Bayou Joes.

Thanks for the info. I don't eat seafood lol, I was hoping for a hooters or something along that line.

I've been to Ky Lake, Lake Cumberland, Smith Mountain Lake, boated from Sandusky Ohio to Lake Huron and so far Emerald Coast is the best boating we have done. We do most of ours on the Ohio River out of Cincinnati.

There not a lot of food options with docks. Most are seafood, but all these places have a non-seafood option on the menus. Just check out their websites. Panama City Beach has every type restaurant there is, just not a lot with docks. Checkout the Grand Mariner Restaurant. It’s at Treasure Marina I believe.
