Brad - Yes, that was Boyne 2024 - we were in the 42 Outer limits w/ twin 850s (not mine). Great ride, few other nice OL there - and probably the biggest attendance of I/O catamarans (Skaters) - outside of Desert Storm or Supercat Fest West.
Here's back in 2016, another great year (in my boat)

I was never a fan of the long runs like Boyne (100 some miles right?) because
1. wear and tear
2. something will break
3. PTSD of breaking down.
that`s that BBC life always waiting for the next thing to break and it always happens when you`re 7+ hr out of town.
I always get a pit in my stomach 10 minutes before we get to the launch.
What will break today, will it even start, is it going to cough on a cold start and push out an intake gasket, will it die shifting into gear ... etc etc
That`s the reason I shy away from long poker runs.
Hoping I can get a couple summers relatively problem free with some Eddie Young engines and get rid of the PTSD but my luck isn`t that good so pretty sure I`ll be trying to figure out how to put a cabin in a Egg beater Cat next year .

Man that is some bad luck. Doesn’t Nortechs new cat have a small cabin?
then again I have 500HP motors and run the dog $hit out of them with no issues.
lot different then a blown 1000hp+ BBC.
we will do 100 miles on a normal weekend, never worry about breaking.
my freinds with the same vintage old OB’s have not been as lucky, in fact at the toy run one with 300HP optis now have some added ventilation in his power heads.

I have been talking about my little home lake run for years. Shotgun start check, chill DNR check, 100+ running check, loud inboards check, all money to charity check, 100 dollar entry fee check, clear of debris in water check and deep clear water. Watch here to confirm
I have been hosting folks for pass 2 years. If want a local navigator and tour guide. Let me know. Swap out room and dock for riding.
