The Chicago Poker Run
#131
Mark and Dan - what a great event! You guys hosted a couple of wonderful parties, and even ordered up some Konrad water for MrCig and myself. It was nice to see the awesome display of hardware that showed.
Speaking of which... Scott, you made us Fountain guys proud. I had the opportunity to run with the Shogren/Fountain team for a good half hour. I was having so much fun cranking along with your 47, the 42 Poker Run, and the Rio Roses boat, that I never realized we overshot the first card stop by 40 gallons or so. It's All Good, was a nice run.
Also, the folks at Pastrick Marina and Resort Casino were fine hosts, and special thanks to the guys on C Dock that tracked us down to tell us a "Sage" had just came thru the harbor and dropped the level 6 feet in a half hour.
All my years in the Great Lakes, and never heard of such a thing... pretty incredible. No real damage, thank goodness, just a nick in one skeg from sitting on the bottom. I probably needed to sharpen those things anyway.
Frank, I gotta get me one of those fancy GPS's with the pretty pictures telling me where to go. Until I figure out your side of the pond, compass headings just aren't cutting it. Nice to see you, Lois and the crew. Hope you get your gal back together soon.
Thanks to everyone involved from Janet and I!

The water was perfect for incredible pictures. Thanks for all of the wonderful compliments. This was a very safe run and it was nice seeing boats running in groups for the whole run. Nice to meet so many wonderful people.

Glad to hear there was no major damage. Scary stuff! Thanks so much for coming to the event. It was great to see you guys. Your boat is one fantastic Fountain. I unfortunately do not have any pictures of your boat yet. I believe the white Helicopter must have been the one to photograph you. It will be a few weeks before I get those shots. I lam looking forward to seeing your Konrad Fountain flying.

I don't know if we were ever shot from the white helo. Let me know if you find anything.
Again, fine job putting on your event. It was a pleasure being there.

Hey Brian,
Sorry for the late reply. Every registered boat will receive a Poker Run DVD and full digital files of all the pictures that were taken from the run. The blue helicopter took 1009 shots! I am not sure how many were taken from the white helicopter. I should know that in a few weeks. Any shots taken from the blue helicopter can be posted, enlarged and shared at no cost as long as they are not sold. I do ask if the shots are used for a commercial web site that the photographer is given credit for the shot. If there is room I'd also like the Chicago Poker Run mentioned if possible.
The time frame for the DVD is ASAP. Normally it seems like a 4 -5 month turn around for most Poker Run DVD's. I hope are DVD will be much sooner. I will do what I can.
Hope to see you and the flying Konrad Fountain on one of our fun runs.

Dan, U da man!!!
I don't know how you did it but the coverage of video and photography is second to none. I saw some of the pictures on Casey's from Extreme Boats Magazine camera and they are unreal. Crews on the land and different crews in the helicopters should make for a incredible video. All of the 56 boats that signed up get a copy of the video.
