when do you think they would have been able to fit the dynoed engine into the boat? certainly not before the sat race.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but it wouldn't be the 1st time.

Why wasn't the boat shipped with the dynoed motors "in" the boat in the 1st place ?

My dear friend, it is clear that you have never been near a P1race. Because otherwise you should know that to fit an engine in a raceboat it takes max 2 hrs.
I have seen P1 teams fitting 2 engines in their boat overnight.
And I am speaking about two big 960 hp diesels.
So it seems to me that there is something that you still do not understand.
If you want to race in a championship, then first read the rules and second adapt to the rules, otherwise stay at home.

Seeing as I had just a little bit to do with rigging the boat, I know very well what it takes to change an engine. I also stated that the boat was not finished when it reached the race site sat morning after they drove all night to make it to the race in the first place. They still had to unload all of the supplies that were shipped in the boat as well as finish several things before the boat could race. As far as not changing the engine on sat after the first race, I would have to say that had something to do with the p1 officials signing off with knowledge of the sealed engine not being in the boat.

to answer sharkey's post, yes frank is right, the engine was over in Europe and did not make it to the states in time to be installed in the boat, otherwise it would have been done.

apperently there were other teams that didn't have a sealed engine in their boat due to similar circumstances that the World Tower team had. Wonder why they didn't get protested too?
