If You Cant Beat Them, Protest!

So fountain worldwide had 2 rule infractions,no sensors to monitor engines, could have had 100hp more aside and no one would know, but Joe Sgro is the bad guy.I cant believe that these cheating bastards don't apologize, instead of playing the blame game.If they showed up with hidden turbos and got caught,my guess is alot of a-holes would still congradulate them.

and I am not a Fountain hater I root for ON THE CHIP and others over here racing in P CLASS . You guys and OL did great last year in the rough in P1 and I said to a Apache guy how I thought your two boats OL and Fountain WOULD run or pass a 36 or 41 Apache in a open offshore race. So if its true about the infractions you should be DQed plus the points ,just the points is a joke and turns real fans off big time to read this chit. A point from a fan and ex racer, last race I was in was P5 in 02 and hope to make it back soon
P5 75 LATER.

it has nothing to do about lying no one should be aloud to race if there not set up to the rules its unprofessional it stuff like this that sponsors like RED BULL and others like them will put there money on a kid racing pro motorcross or a baja offroad race instead of offshore boat racing. rules are rules.

They checked with P1 before the race to get there motors sealed by P1 staff. Then they were aloud to race with the motors dynoed right after. It's not like they raced and then said our motors need to be dynoed. That is what I have been told so far.

ITS still not right RULES are RULES they didn't have a dyno motor with sensors in the boat it should have sat on the trailer

Just as Taboo stated, the P1 officials agreed to let them run, as well as signed off on it. Like others here don't seem to understand, there wasn't time to get the sealed motor in the boat. P1 only requires that one engine is sealed not both. The engine that was dynoed and sealed did not make it back in time to be installed.

Perhaps if this was stated 50 posts ago, this thread would have had a few less harsh comments...
What was the reason FWW was docked the 100 points ?
As far as the rumor that the decision was reversed was proven to not be true, as a P1 official confirmed that the information was incorrect. The 100 points were still taken from the one race.

Fountain got a pass for Saturday's race.
They had the dynoed engine on the truck.
It could have been installed prior to Sunday's race and ran the race according to the rule book. Their choice was not to.
P1 accomodated them once where perhaps they shouldn't have.
It is not like last season where they just built a brand new boat and couldn't get it to the ship in time. This boat was already built and dialed in. It was also FWW's choice not to ship the boat so late that if they did run into problems with the shipping, they left themselves no time to have the boat race ready per the rule book.
It all falls back to the team's responsibility.
Therefore in my opinion, they were lucky to keep the other 100 points...

not quite. the boat was almost completely redone over the winter. there was a huge amount of work put into that boat, most of which would probably go unnoticed by the majority of people. as I said before, the boat didn't even get the paint done until the friday before it shipped, and it left on a monday. We didn't have time to finish the boat. Not to mention the dynoed engine never made it back to the states.
