Re: Owners: Lets see some Powerplay Pics
Its a shortened 33'. Does very well for its size in rough water and comes alive once you get up to speed.
We really didnt get to play with all that much before it was rerigged. Cant wait for the Spring with the new motors. For the money, you can't beat it in my opinion. |
Re: Owners: Lets see some Powerplay Pics
I own a 1998 28 powerplay with a single 540 8-71, 850hp/tq, respectively spinning a herring 30p 5 blade. She cruises at 52-55 at 3200rpm, right under boost, and is capable of hitting somewhere in the 80's.
Does extremely good on fuel and rides like a much larger boat. I boat mostly in the Chesapeake Bay and like most boaters cruise between Annapolis and the Inner harbor. Love the boat, rigging, ride, and handling. |

Re: Owners: Lets see some Powerplay Pics
Yes Mentalpause, 33 with 502's. That 76.8 was downhill, with a tailwind, in following seas, with a 2 knot current, running on gas fumes, and throwing my passenger's off the back one at a time to get more speed. It consistently runs 75.
The best effort was right after I had the props labbed and the engines tuned. It was also with a light load. The boat is a 1996. Mike |

Jassman....I don't think Midnight Express has the 38' mold. I think OSO Steve knows who has the 38' molds. |

Jrock-
Thanks. I have been enjoying it so far... no disappointments. Is there anything that I should know about it that I may not already? Any recommendations or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Re: Owners: Lets see some Powerplay Pics
MACTIME.....I believe you have the 28 that I bought from PP. The rear seat was modified with a custom box to make room for the blower. I did the rigging and initial set-up. One helluva boat....miss her lots.

Sounds like the right boat... thanks she has been maintained meticulously from the start and it shows. Boat runs great, absolutely no complaints. You did a great job of rigging her and the combination works very well. I have been thinking about selling her toward the end of this season and getting a cat though. Just want to try something different, not sure might hold onto too. |
Re: Owners: Lets see some Powerplay Pics
Mactime, if you ever sale your boat , please call me Harry Johnson. 1-800-288-2469. Thats a great boat and the perfect size for me. I looked at pantera, but it does not compare to the powerplay. Thanks Harry.
