My newest concern is how the factory fresh water flush system works. There are no manual hand valves and no sea strainers. When you connect the water hose and turn it on, it seams like there is a water restriction. The water does not flow hard out the drives (as im accustomed to with past boats). When you start it up the water does exit the exhaust but Im not sure if its flowing as it should. Could this be due to their being thermostats?? Is there a check-valve in this set up that could be hanging up? Or is this normal. I've had to replace both water pump impellers and now wondering if the impellers were worn from being old, or they're getting burnt up while flushing the motor with fresh water? |

Hey Greg, ever run a 33 with a set of Hydromotives?? The previous owner has a set. He said the top end was a little better but harder to get on plane than with the lab Bravos that are on the boat now. Im wondering if it will give a faster cruise speed. |
Re: First Time Out Today And Problem...
My little oil problem is resolved as well. A loose fitting to the remote oil filter. You should talk to Ron (Full Throttle) about props. He's been doing all kinds of experimenting with his Pantera, and I think Hydromotive actually gave him props to test, and if he wasn't happy could return within 30 days for another?

Re: First Time Out Today And Problem...
ActiveFun, I have both for my boat. Stick with the Bravos. They have a better cruise speed due too less slip at those speeds. The hydros slip is about the same at high speeds, and may be 1mph faster, but they don't handle quite as well at top speed. Your boat looks great! Good luck with it.
