I have the full rear bench seat that has 2 cushions and 2 large storage compartments, I know yours has the 3 smaller openings. I would keep it in the cabin and not the engine compartment . If it ever broke loose it could cause some damage. There were fender holders mounted on the bottom of my engine hatch and I removed them. I was worried about the ropes getting tangled in the belts. Try what dk said and Velcro it to the floor of the boat under the front bed storage. Sense it is the bottom of the boat I know there is no place to screw it down up there. Maybe put it on a piece of heavy rubber or foam.

Do yourself a favor, next time you throw in your anchor make sure your line is NOT attached
Get rid of your Fortress or Danforth and buy a Box Anchor...best investment you'll EVER make for your boat. Throw in under your bench seat in it's own bag.
