That box anchor really worked well last Sunday when JROMY and I were tied up on his anchor. Held fast and quick to set. My Fortress is very light but didn't do the trick. Okay for just me though.

Wow that looks cool. What do you just throw it over the side and it just hooks? No chain required? And it folds up?

Yes, yes, and yes. After fighting the various bottoms in Long Island Sound with the supposed greatest small boat anchor in the world...the Fortress/Danforth I needed an alternative. After hearing about the Box Anchor, I called the ower of the company and he said buy it, if I didn't like it he'd give me a full refund no questions asked. He said it would hold in all bottoms first time every time. Well...it's true, no more 7/1 scope (I use about 3/1), no more chain, no more dicking around anchoring. When I sold my Nordic three years ago, I sold EVERYTHING but the Box Anchor LOL!!! Now I just go to a spot and toss it in, and watch all the suckers screwing around for up to a half hour sometimes trying to get their anchor to set, pretty funny sometimes too when the husband and wife start to fight. I've had one for years and it has set first time every time no matter the bottom, and just resets itself if the wind changes direction.

It has been proven that the slide anchor works better than others. I have personally used one for years and it always works great. Esay to store (folds up) and has it's own bag

Mars...mine isn't handy to get to right now, I think it's about 18" long folded, 10 wide, and about 3-4 thick folded. It holds JROMY's 33' without an issue. Get the large size, there isn't that much difference between the small and large. If you need more specific measurements, call Slide-Anchor and they'll give you the exacts. Nice people.
