My buddies own both . Hustler nice ride in the bays and river. Cig super nice ride in the ocean and bays solid. simlar to a Powerplay. If you go the Hustler way stay with stock power boats are good to high 80's -90 and that's it.

What power do you have in your PP

a 388 is nice... are you referring to a twin step cig? if so thats the better choice.. I think I would take a 388 (I had one) over a flat bottom cig, if your on a lake, if in the ocean go with the cig. just my 02ct.
