with jack plates it don't cost u nothing to raise the motors 1/2" at a time
but have to have water pressure gauges to keep an eye on pressure with the torquemaster cases
can take out a motor fast when guessing

Motors are bolted to the transom as are most 25s.

Measured prop shafts in relation to the hull and they are 1/2" below measuring from the prop shaft center.

performance outboards use a jack plate for offset to get motors higher for better speeds and handling to help hold transom
and easability to find the spot the boat likes
since most 25s bolt straight up
need to find another 25 O/B PP and ask them where their at and best prop use

I'm familiar with jack plates. My 22 Velicity had a Hydraulic CMC jack plate. My Skater had its engines bolted to the transom. Powerplay designed the 25 to have its engines on the transom. I spoke with Scott at Mercury Racing and think I figured out my issue. Fleetmaster lowers are not the right lower unit at the height my prop shaft is. I need to swap to Sportmasters.

[also if trying to make a fast boat vsing a good handling boat the set ups are different
for higher speeds got to find the gearcase happy spot to where its using the gearcases as a pad
so nosecones or a sportmaster helps
the higher the centerline is the less it lifts transom on the surface at high speeds

already suggested sportmasters or just put on nosecones to the cases u have to run the gearcases up high

I am not 100%., but I believe fleetmasters with nose cones are faster then sportmasters. I would do the nose cones with low water pick ups, just from a cost view.

Northernoffshore, those are some polished lower units! Looks good.

Fatherb68, my issue isn't about speed, but handling. Sportlmaster have larger skegs to help stabilize the boat.
