What engine and Prop are you running now and what speed are you getting with the current prop?

What pitch did you get on the 4 blade? I tried a 24 pitch Bravo1 prop on my 260. I could only spin it 4550 but it did get up on plane faster than I thought it would. The cruise was faster at 3600 and the left lean was pretty much gone. I liked it, but decided to repitch my 21 Mirage to a 22. I spin that at 5050. I have a 350hp 454 mag.

Gary C, I bought a 22 pitch Bravo 1 4 blade and am running a 454mag EFI 385 hp. I hope to spin it 4900 to 5000 rpm. If I fall short I'll have it labbed over the winter pending all other performance and ride gains. I'm really hoping to better my cruise speed and plane time. The kids talked me into getting a tube a couple weeks ago and it's tuff to keep on plan at low speeds. I figured the extra blade would help out in this area. I feel a little odd pulling a tube, but I got a chance to get on it the other and what a riot! And no better way to cool off.

That 22 should be the ticket. You probably won't see more top end but the midrange will be great for you. I pull a tube with mine. It is a blast. If you don't have the ski eye on the back of your boat, I would suggest you put it on. It makes towing tubes much better. I even skied off the back of my boat. My son does too. The wake is no Mastercraft, but it was fun

Gary C We do have a ski eye on the back. If it wasn't for the wake it would be pretty boring. By the way you going to the rally?? Just wondering how many 26 's are showing up. I'll let you know how the 22 works. It should be in tomorrow or Friday.

Let me know how the 4 blade works!

Fast forward,
No, I won't be going to the rally. I'm selling the boat so I don't want to put anymore hrs on it. Plus I'm leaving next week for a Motorcycle vacation in Pa.
Hottzu98,
I never checked my tach with a timing light. I don't run wot much because the wife doesn't like to. So the few times I did do gps runs, were with my son holding the gps and me running it up to 5050 rpms for 62.7. I have a 21 Mirage plus repitched to a 22 by Throttle-up. I think every prop is a little different, and different days can read different speeds on gps. I think you can make yourself nuts with this speed stuff

Well the prop I bought on ebay came in today and to my surprise it's been labbed. With the stock 23 Mirage I was was at 4800 rpm. With the new Bravo 1 22p I figured I'd stay about the same rpm, but gain in the low and mid range. With the prop being labbed I'm hoping I'll see gains across the board. Tomorrows Friday so we'll give her a shot
