[QUOTE=Has anyone seen any activity around there this week??[/QUOTE]
If the weather is anything like here - everything is frozen solid around there this week :D :D IMO, 2000 - 2004 was a tough time for any builder to be real innovative, especially the first 30 months of that. Dot Com bust and bad economy overall. It still remains sluggish, particularly for a regional company where the region is Michigan. I love Michigan, but the auto industry is so prevalent that it really has an impact when slumping. There is a movement to mid open bows that PQ could take advantage of with less investment in re-tooling. West coast has gone to cat style deck boats, which don't seem to be catching on east of the Mississippi. It will be interesting to see their plan for comeback. I hope they make it back - they make a very competitive boat that is great value for the $. But I do think they need to make some adjustments to their current product line. Not to replace it - but to enhance it. |

Has anyone seen any activity around there this week?? They also treated me fair when my boat needed a couple of hundred bucks for warranty repairs. But my experience when it came to BIG WARRANTY issues all I got was the run around.and talking with other PQ owner they had the same experience. again I love my boat and its all in the past,I hope the new owners run the it like a small business were the owners are involved in it every day and I think they will do well  |
Re: Powerquest Factory
Well I just tried to call PQ to get some stainless foot rails and the phone has been disconnected. Not good!

Re: Powerquest Factory
What I heard today was not as promising. Sad thing is it sounds like PQ will only have a presence at the Detroit show this year, No GR or Chicago from what I hear. As only one dealer is in possession of 2006 boats. :( :(

Re: Powerquest Factory
That had crossed my mind as well. I'd certainly think twice. But this is nothing new to boat manufactures. How many times was Fountain been in trouble, same with Baja and lets not forget when Donzi pretty much went down the tubes. Times have changed since then, but PQ is one of the rare offshore designs that gives more than ample cockpit room as well as plenty of overnight room below. Lets face it there's not to many other boats out there like that, especially at the $$$.

Re: Powerquest Factory
When it comes to room nothing in the GO FAST line matches the PQ. Regardless of which one you have they give you space, performance and quality beyond the competition.
I love the look and would be very disappointed if they don't keep going. Only next choice would be a 43 Black Thunder. :drink: :drink: |

I sure hope something is said about the new people etc what their plans are etc...the longer the silence goes on the worse it will be and rumors just start flying usually in the negative. |
