My bad, it is a 2003 model. This boat was purchased at the Miami boat show (Orange and Black) has built in GPS and on a good day will run 80. Boat is located on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. There is also a 2004 38 with 575's w/ITS docked next to me.This boat was on the cover of Hot Boat Magazine (Purple yellow & blue). HB said the boat ran 84, no way. I rode in this boat during our Poker Run boat ran 80 GPS. Powerquest sold this guy on 90 plus. Have tested every prop made including five blade Mercury Racing same result. Needless to say, very disappointed owner. T

OK here is more info. I have a 2001 Avenger Poker Run Edition with stock 575's with Maxumus lab 32" props. Cant' get to 5000, usually max out at 4850 to 4900. Max GPS has been 81 so far. I am going to go with 30" Maximus or 34" bravo 1 after which I expect to see around 83, maybe 84.
Don't think you can get over 80 with the 525's unless you do some special bottom work.

Runs well..Have had no problems.....any little problems with hardware and boat has been very professionally taken care of by PQ
Motors and drives seem to be bullet proof...now I jinxed myself.
Fastest ever was 86.1...normally runs between 84 and 85, depending on weather and water conditions. Now that's in brackish and salt
Anyone that knows me, I don't baby the boat
Now running Hydromotive 5 blades ...27 pitch...gives me a great mid range for cruising..
I hope this helps

Those are the numbers I was told from a friend who has an 04' 38 w/525's.(freshwater) I have not ridden in the boat but that sounds impressive. By the way I just got back from the Cape. Hoping to spend many days down there this winter
We took the CC w/egg beaters out to Captiva on Sunday what a nice place to be.
