Default Max power in an Enticer?

Any ideas what an Enticer hull can handle as far as power/speed? Currently has carbed 454 mags (330hp) with B1's/Imco -2's, Bravo 1 26p 4blades. Runs 67-70 depending on load in boat.........
Original motors with 430 hrs and no problems.....just want a little more speed. I'm thinking about mildly built carbed 502's (for reliablility). Maybe 425-450hp. Can the hull handle that power without being too squirrely? Will that likely get me to 75-80? Would I have to change to hydraulic steering?
Would appreciate any comments............Mark

The boat could handle 500efi's with xz drives or beefed up bravo 1's... also another option is 540's a guy on torch lake with an older enticer has one with 540 bulldogs in it. If you want to be around 80 in an enticer id recommend getting k-planes to replace your stock trim tabs and keep running 4-blade props to avoid chine walk at 70 and beyond. I'm running 7.4mpi 310hp's with 25p mirage plus's labbed to 24p by BBlades... got 69.57 on gps last time I ran it with 2 people and a little under half tank. Built 502's will be sweet in that boat let us know what happens

Mark, it's been a while buddy!
My old bucket has factory 502s with 23p 3 blades (starboard has about 80sh hours and the port about 300+) Best I've seen is 71 GPS. I've got the big Kafer K planes too, just would like a little more mph! Love to hear what you do and what you get out it!!

You need labbed 25 mirage plus's or labbed 26 bravos and you would see an improvement... you're under propped with 502's. I have the 310hp 7.4mpi's with 25p mirage plus's labbed to 24's and the best I've seen is 69.57 on gps

Thanks Aj, and not that I don't believe you, just want to hear what others have to say about this set up. Thought I read in another thread that this was the right setup for the 290 502s? Sorry to hijack, however it would be nice to get some extra MPH!

AJ, if we lived closer I'd definitely take you up on your very generous offer, yet I hate taking responsibility for other peoples stuff! I definitely want to prop up, yet I gotta keep priorities in check. Fix starboard drive boot, fix 2 in scrape in my gel from my hydro lift, and would like to do what you did (touch up and change the paint and upholstery) . Not to mention finish up my other toy and love of my life this winter. Thanks again, and sorry for the 2nd Hy-jack.
