If I remember correctly a few years ago at the smoke on the water poker run in grand haven a guy did something similar on a Outerlimits after he blew past the card stop and it was a bad deal causing a couple deaths

Ya know, I have always driven anything I have owned by feel and my senses if you get my meaning. I am always listening, smelling and trying sense any feeeling I am getting from what ever I am driving. IN my old non step you could feel it needed to be trimmed in to corner or it would blow out, or you hear the motor reving and yet slowing down. I was not posting the original comment in a bad way as I am sorry to hear that others dont have the respect needed to handle some things as others do, but more looking for feed back from some others and a dos and donts type thing.
All in good fun though.

I did some research on driving and turning a stepped hull boat and found in everycase that they said you DO NOT trim in or down the drives going into the turn as I would have on the other! Keep them up and most say to power thru the corner and or feather the throtles. The end result of trimming down when turning sounds like it would be very interesting to say the least. I described what might happen to the wife and you should have seen the look on her face
.
Would love to hear others comment as well and advice.

you can do that on a V bottom boat
on a step bottom boat some of the transom is allready out of the water because of the steps and the air under there and if you trim down and turn the front of the hull is going to dig in the water and since the back of the boat is light it will hook and spin.
You allways want the weight of the boat in the back on a step bottom on turns

Sorry I had to.
